Volunteer Opportunities

Thank you to all our parents and volunteers who contribute their time and talents. You truly make Whitney Public School a caring place to learn. Whether you can contribute an hour a month or a couple of hours a week, we have a variety of volunteer opportunities to suit your schedule. All volunteers require a criminal background check for safety purposes, but we can provide you with a volunteer letter to make the process seamless.

Some of our current volunteer opportunities include:

• Winter Carnival - February 28th - Volunteers assist with organizing the events, food, and more. If interested, please call Anna Dawson, Parent Council Chair.
• Classroom Help- Our Primary classes really benefit from volunteers. If you have a couple of hours per week, these grades would appreciate your help with offering reading help to younger students; lesson set-up/clean up and more.
• Healthy Snack - A perfect way to volunteer and fit it into your busy schedule! Our volunteers assist with cooking and serving Healthy Snack every morning to children .
• Extracurricular - We're always grateful to parent volunteers who assist with chaperoning school trips and mentoring students on teams. Right now we have Skating at the local arena every Wednesday (Primary) and Fridays (Junior/Intermediate)
