Speech and Language Services

Students at Whitney Public School have access to a speech language pathologist through the Renfrew County District School Board (RCDSB). Referrals are made through CHEO First Words a speech and language program that helps children from birth to the beginning of their Senior Kindergarten year who have communication challenges or through our Special Education team at the school.

Whitney Public School is also fortunate to have a communications disorder assistant who visits our school for a day and a half each week to help students who require assistance with their articulation, language processing or communication skills.
